114pet (Animal Hospitals in Korea) is a guide that organizes information on animal hospitals across South Korea, based on Korea's public administrative licensing data (행정안전부 지방행정인허가데이터). Every fact is shown with its source and data date. Below we disclose who operates it, how it makes money, where the data comes from, our neutrality principle, and how to request corrections.
Who we are
114pet is an independent information service operated by BYTEFORCE. It is a small company that runs on public data and technology rather than a large organization — and precisely because of that, we do not hide who operates it, how to reach us, or how we make money. 114pet is not directly affiliated with the government or any animal hospital.

Why it's free — our revenue model
The basic listing of every hospital is free, forever. Basic information such as name, address, and registration year comes from public data (행정안전부 지방행정인허가데이터), so we provide it to everyone at no cost and charge nothing for the listing itself.
114pet earns revenue from an optional information-management subscription that each clinic chooses. A verified clinic owner can directly fill in and manage details the public data lacks — hours, services, photos, and a booking link. This adds depth of information; it does not buy ranking. Listings are ordered by neutral criteria regardless of whether a clinic pays. See the For Clinics page for details.
Where the data comes from
Every fact shown on 114pet is taken directly from MOIS local administrative licensing data (행정안전부 지방행정인허가데이터) (public data) — data that each local government registers and publishes on hospital registrations and licensing. We download it periodically (target: once a day) and regenerate the pages.

Before publishing, the data passes five validation gates: (1) status filter (only operating/normal), (2) phone normalization (never fabricated — omitted when unverifiable), (3) coordinate conversion and bounds check for Korea, (4) unique facility identifier (deduplication), and (5) a diff check against the prior dataset. Neutrality
114pet does not provide rankings, recommendations, or comparisons. Lists are sorted by neutral criteria such as alphabetical order, and we do not use expressions like “best” or “#1”. Whether a clinic pays has no effect on exposure ranking. Registration (개설신고) is shown only as an administrative fact under the Veterinarians Act; we do not evaluate any clinic or label others as “illegal”. Information that partners (the hospitals themselves) enter is displayed separately from the public-data section.
Corrections and removal requests
If any information is wrong, or you want it corrected or removed, please email the operator at contact@byteforce.ai.kr. Including the facility name, location, the item to correct, and supporting evidence helps us process it quickly.
- · For public-data fields (name, address, registration year, etc.), we also guide you through the official public-data update process; accepted display corrections are reflected at the next sync after verification.
- · Information a clinic owner entered (hours, photos, etc.) can be edited or deleted by the owner in the partner center. When a verified account is closed, the entered information is made private and destroyed immediately.
